Taxfix, a Berlin-based tax return app, has secured €65 million in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Index Ventures, with participation from existing investors Valar Ventures, Creandum and Redalpine. The funding will be used to expand the product development team and increase international growth, with a particular focus on France.

The app, which uses a chat-like interface to simplify the tax return process, has processed over €270 million in tax returns since its launch. It aims to make tax returns accessible to everyone, regardless of financial literacy levels. The app’s success is reflected in its user growth, which has increased by 500% year-on-year.

In addition to the funding news, Taxfix also announced the appointment of a new CFO, Dr. Imran Qureshi. Qureshi brings over 20 years of experience in finance and operations management to the role. He will be responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy and financial performance.

Taxfix has been recognised for its innovative approach, receiving the Financial Times’ ‘Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies’ award in 2020. Despite the economic challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the company has continued to thrive, doubling its team size to over 200 employees.
