Broadli, a new app launched by Alexis Finch and Joni Girardi, aims to make LinkedIn networks more manageable and useful. The app, which is currently available for iOS devices, is designed to organise LinkedIn contacts into three categories: ‘Inner Circle’, ‘Outer Circle’, and ‘Acquaintances’. Users can then manually sort their contacts into these categories, or use the app’s algorithm to do so. This system aims to help users focus on the contacts they value most, rather than being overwhelmed by a large, unmanageable network. Broadli also allows users to request introductions to contacts in their network, providing a more direct means of communication. The app was created as a response to the common issue of LinkedIn users having large networks but not utilising them effectively. Finch and Girardi hope that Broadli will encourage more meaningful and productive networking.
