Microsoft is set to launch Dataflex, a relational database that will allow users to build, deploy, and manage Power Platform apps and chatbots directly in Teams. This move aims to help organisations increase productivity by integrating Teams with Microsoft’s Power Platform. Dataflex provides relational data storage, rich data types, enterprise-grade governance, and one-click solution deployment.
Microsoft is also introducing Dataflex Pro, an advanced version of Dataflex. This version offers full Power Apps and Power Automate capabilities, including running apps in a standalone browser and integration with Microsoft’s Azure API Management and Azure Logic Apps.
The introduction of Dataflex and Dataflex Pro is part of Microsoft’s broader strategy to make Teams a platform for work, rather than just a communication tool. The company believes that integrating Teams with the Power Platform can help organisations streamline their processes, improve productivity, and foster collaboration.
Microsoft’s Dataflex and Dataflex Pro will be available in Teams at no additional cost. The company has not yet announced a specific launch date but plans to roll out the service later this year.
