Microsoft Teams is rolling out a slew of new features and updates at Enterprise Connect 2023. Among the enhancements, Teams Rooms is set to offer a new ‘Front Row’ layout, which will bring remote participants closer to the in-room experience. This layout will display video feeds, chat, and other shared content on the front-of-room screens, fostering a more immersive and inclusive meeting experience.

Microsoft Teams’ Intelligent Capture feature is also getting a revamp. This feature will now use an additional camera to capture, focus, enhance, and transcribe whiteboard content, making it easier for remote participants to follow along.

The Teams app for first-line workers is getting improved with new features like Walkie Talkie, Tasks, and Praise. These updates aim to streamline communication, task management, and recognition for these workers.

In addition, Teams is expanding its language support, with the introduction of live captions in German, French, Dutch, Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish. This will further improve inclusivity and accessibility for global Teams users.

Lastly, Microsoft Teams is also set to integrate with RealWear headsets, offering hands-free, voice-activated Teams experiences for workers in safety-critical roles. This integration will allow these workers to stay connected while keeping their hands free for other tasks.
