Additionally, 22% of US adults have made a purchase using a chatbot. It’s not just about purchasing; 37% of people would use a bot to get a quick answer in an emergency.

Despite their popularity, chatbots aren’t without their flaws. The main issues users face are misunderstanding requests (69%) and providing incorrect information (56%). Yet, these challenges don’t seem to deter consumers, with 63% of respondents stating they would consider messaging an online chatbot to communicate with a business or brand.

In terms of industries, the top three sectors using chatbots are real estate (28%), travel (16%), and education (14%).
