Microsoft 365 is set to unveil a host of new features and capabilities. Microsoft Teams will soon offer private channels, multi-window chats and meetings, task integration, and Yammer integration. Teams will also provide a streamlined Teams client for Linux users and new IT capabilities.
In terms of productivity, the new Microsoft Edge and Bing will provide world-class performance with more privacy, productivity, and value. The new Microsoft Edge is ready for business and will be available on 15 January 2020. Fluent Design System updates will be released to mobile users, providing a more connected suite of apps.
A new service, Project Cortex, will be introduced. Cortex uses AI to reason over content across teams and systems, recognising content types, extracting important information, and automatically organising content into shared topics like projects, products, processes and customers.
The Office mobile app will be available worldwide on iOS and Android. Outlook will get a new Play My Emails feature and a redesigned Office.com. Microsoft is also introducing new management, security, and compliance tools.
The Power Platform is also getting updates, including a new robotic process automation capability in Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents.
These updates are designed to empower everyone to do more and achieve more.
