Project Intu, an IBM initiative, is designed to simplify the process of embedding Watson functions into various hardware devices. This allows developers to infuse artificial intelligence (AI) into systems and products, enabling them to understand, reason, learn and interact. Project Intu’s platform is compatible with numerous operating systems including Raspberry Pi, Windows, and OS X.

The platform offers a ready-made environment for developers to build cognitive experiences in various form factors such as robots, IoT devices, or avatars in digital platforms. It allows for a consistent user experience across multiple devices, which is a significant advantage.

Project Intu also provides an intuitive platform for developers to work with, reducing the complexity of orchestrating various cognitive services. This allows for more natural interactions with users, as the platform can maintain context from one interaction to the next. The project is currently in experimental phase and available on the Watson Developer Cloud, GitHub and SourceForge.

IBM’s Project Intu is a step forward in the field of AI, providing a streamlined platform for developers to create cognitive, user-friendly devices and systems.
