A survey of 500 freelance creatives by Contently revealed the top brands they would be willing to give up their freedom to work for. Google topped the list, with 23% of respondents choosing it as their preferred employer. Apple and Facebook followed closely, with 11% and 10% respectively. Interestingly, 9% of freelancers would prefer to work for themselves, even if they had the chance to work for these top brands. Nonprofits, start-ups, and local businesses also featured on the list. The survey suggests that freelancers value working for companies that are innovative and have strong ethical standards. The results also indicate a shift in the perception of freelancing, with many creatives now viewing it as a long-term career choice rather than a stepping stone to a permanent job.
