Microsoft Teams is set to introduce several new features aimed at enhancing collaboration and productivity. These include Together mode, which uses AI to place all participants in a shared background, creating a more cohesive virtual meeting environment. Breakout rooms will allow meeting organisers to split participants into smaller groups for focused discussions. Meeting recap will provide a post-meeting summary, including the recording, transcript, chat, shared files, and more. A new feature, called ‘Teams templates’, will help in creating new teams by providing a variety of customisable templates. Teams will also integrate with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, and will offer a new search experience that delivers faster and more relevant results. For educators, new features include an expanded class insights feature with a weekly view of student engagement. For frontline workers, a simplified shift schedule management tool will be introduced. For healthcare providers, Teams will enable virtual visits and the ability to share electronic health records. These updates are part of Microsoft’s commitment to improving remote collaboration and productivity.
