Automattic, the parent company of WordPress.com, has launched Happy Tools, a suite of products designed for remote work collaboration. The first product within this suite is Happy Schedule, a tool for managing customer support across different time zones. Happy Schedule allows businesses to manage their customer support teams more efficiently, taking into account the different time zones in which team members are located.
Happy Tools is a product of Automattic’s own experience as a remote work company. The company has 850 employees spread across 68 countries and it has developed these tools to manage its own workforce. The tools have been so successful that Automattic decided to turn them into a product for other companies to use.
The launch of Happy Tools comes at a time when remote work is becoming increasingly popular. Many companies are allowing their employees to work from home or in co-working spaces, and tools like Happy Tools can help to manage these distributed teams more effectively.
Happy Tools is available for $5 per user per month. The company plans to add more products to the suite in the future, including a tool for tracking job applicants and a chat tool.
